Well it certainly has been a while. Hard to believe the SCTV reunion was over a month ago. And now we're into rehearsals for the new Women Fully Clothed show. We're madly writing and rewriting. I still can't believe we'll be doing a brand new show in the fall. It will be hard to let go of the old show. Honestly it's taken the last three years to really find the moments in it. And of course we'll do the old show when we start touring in the US but still ... I'll miss doing the scenes.
Although there's lots of great new material coming out of these writing sessions. It's very exciting. Those ladies sure do make me laugh. And it's summer so there you go. Ralph Chapman (the co-creator of The Jane Show) and I are working on a new series idea. As well as a screenplay. Lots of writing to be done this summer. And working on my house. Gardening. Who knew I'd be into gardening. I'm a little obsessed actually. I go out and check my little vegetable garden every day. It's quite cathartic. Being in a business where so much is out of your control I think it's nice to have something that you can work on and get results. Therapeutic really.
I went to see the amazingly talented Mary Margaret O'Hara perform last weekend in part of a Luminato event. She was performing with her original band - which included Robin's husband, and our manager, Hendrik Riik. It was great to see him on stage. It was the first time I'd seen him perform. And Mary Margaret was her usual brilliantly gifted and completely inspired self.
I'm going to add some new photos and hopefully a new Goth Girls video as soon as I get some time.
